"BOLD, UNTOLD STORIES Under the Spotlight"
The MiraBan Film Pitch Fund + is an exciting opportunity for bold storytellers to secure £500 in funding to support the development, production, or post-production of their film projects. Powered by MiraBan, the fund is open to short and feature-length narratives, documentaries, and experimental works.
Whether you're an emerging filmmaker or an independent creative with a strong vision, this fund is designed to champion originality, cultural relevance, and creative ambition. Applications must be submitted by either the producer, director, and/or writer.
How to Apply
We’ve kept the application process simple and straightforward—no lengthy forms required.
All you need to do upload a PDF file with either:
500 words for short film treatment or
1500 words for feature film treatment
Alternatively, if you prefer, upload a video or audio pitch (up to 2 mins in length)
📌 Gap Funding Applications (for those applying to offset any post-production cost) are encouraged to submit a link to up to 2 minutes of rushes or a scene cut.
Optional materials:
Link to a sizzle reel or up to 1-minute of rushes if filming has already started
Moodboard, Budget Breakdown, or Visual References
Pitching Event
Finalists will be invited to pitch live on Saturday December 13 during the MiraBan UK Film Awards 2025 (MUFA25), held at Ealing Picturehouse Cinema.
As a finalist, you will be granted free access to the MUFA, held at Ealing Picturehouse Cinema on the December 13-14th.
On December 13th, pitches will be delivered in front of a live audience, including the Festival Director and host whose vote will contribute to the jury’s final decision in selecting the winning pitch.
Finalists unable to attend in person must submit a video pitch for screening at the event.
As a finalist, you will be required to bring with you:
A Pitch Deck (use more visuals than words to share your vision and share it in PDF format, based on a PowerPoint or similar tool):
Up to 5 slides for short films
Up to 8 slides for feature films
Film Script (for projects in development and production), or Rough Assembly (for projects in post-production)
If you’re unsure how a Pitch Deck should look like, we can send you a downloadable template.
